Movie Reviews: Rise of the Planet of the Apes (2011)

आजच 'Rise of the Planet of the Apes (2011)' पाहिला. एक चांगला चित्रपट! जंगलात आपापल्या विश्वात सुखी असणारे चिम्पान्झी व गोरिला व त्यांच्यावर औषध बनवण्यासाठी केले जाणारे प्रयोग ! अशा प्रयोगांनी ,बळेच घ्याव्या लागणाऱ्या औषधांनी आपल्या जन्माला येणाऱ्या तान्हुल्याला धोका होवू नये म्हणून जीवावर उदार होवून प्रयोगशालेबाहेर पडू पाहणारी माता मारली जाते. तिच्या नवजात पिलाला गुपचूप आपल्या घरी आणून त्याचे पोटच्या मुलाप्रमाणे पालनपोषण करणाऱ्या संशोधकाची व त्याला त्याच्या घराला आपलं मानणाऱ्या व त्याच्यापासून ताटातूट झाल्यावर एखाद्या लहान मुलासारखे कासावीस होणाऱ्या संवेदनाक्षम जीवाची ही पाहण्याजोगी गोष्ट आहे.
आपले बुद्धिकौशल्य वापरून कोंडवाड्यातून स्वतःची व इतरांची सुटका करणारा,आपल्यावर अत्याचार करू पाहणारयांवर संतापलेला तरीही माणसे आपल्या तावडीत सापडल्यावर त्यांच्याशी माणसाप्रमाणेच किमान सभ्यतेची मर्यादा पाळू पाहणारा 'सीझर' प्रेक्षकांना आपलासा वाटेल.
सीझरवर झाडलेल्या बंदुकांच्या फैरी स्वतःवर झेलून सीझरचे प्राण वाचवणाऱ्या सहकारी गोरिलाला तो हळूवार थोपटतो ,त्याचे सांत्वन करतो तेंव्हा आपल्याही डोळ्यात अश्रू उभे राहतात.
चित्रपट वेगवान आहे,कोठेही रेंगाळत नाही.नायक नायिकेचे एक चुंबनदृश्य सोडले तर चित्रपटात कोठेही लैंगिकता,नग्नता,असभ्य भाषा नाही. कुटुंबातल्या सर्वांनी एकत्र बसून पाहण्याजोगा हा चित्रपट आहे.

Storyline: A genetically modified retrovirus gives a chimpanzee a human level of intelligence by birth from his mother. Then he leads all the apes and escapes them from human's prison.

Caesar's mother is caught in the jungle and brought to the research lab for donig experiments to find medicine for Alzheimer's disease.After realising that her unborn baby may be in danger because of this experiments,She tries to escape and is killed by security officer.Her baby Ceasar is saved secretly by the lab scientist Will Rodman.

I travelled 18 kms to see the movie, and I was pleasantly surprised. I liked it overall.Many many thanks for 20'th Century Fox ! This film gives us a clear message :'Don't attempt to interfare with nature.It is our duty to treat wild animals with sympathy.Always respect their freedom.'Andy Serkis did a great performance in the lead roll of Caesar chimpanzee. It is a magical watch to see Seasar's graph of cuteness, curiosity, confusion, anxiety, rage and realisation. While watching the rude and cruel behaviour of animal caretaker, I got tears in my eyes.Finally, Caesar hugs his (seriously wounded) dying colleague on the bridge.This scene is very heartwarming
